Unethical and Dangerous Treatments for Autism

About ABA

Concerning Applied Behavior Analysis

Some in the Autistic community questions the use of ABA and some of those anti-ABA proponents have even gone so far as to terrorise ABA supporters to an extent that it could be classified as online bullying.

I have not seen any evidence and neither has anyone supplied me with evidence that ABA is an unethical treatment. Only some annecdotal “evidence” concerning ABA as unethical treatment exist.

According to a pedeatrician I have consulted, there was, and is people who practice unacceptable forms of ABA, such as electro-shock. But these practices is not accepted by the general Autism Treatment Community. Electro-shock Therapy as treatment for Autism has recently been banned by the FDA.

ABA is a safe and reliable treatment for persons with Autism.
